Our humble start: In the mid '90's the Meade Telescope company (already number one in their field) dispatched an executive to Clearwater Florida to discuss the sales of it's products. Meade listened and liked what they heard. They were told "the prospective customer doesn't get it. They want a product, not a project" (which is the only solution Meade had been providing at the time). "If Meade would put everything the prospective customer wants into a single box (telescope, sidereal clock drive and camera mount) and price this new product somewhere in the $500 range; it would be almost impossible for retailers to keep in stock." Within one year Meade introduced the first ETX telescope with an MSRP of $549. Featuring a built in clock drive and camera mount the ETX quickly became the best selling telescope in the World.

In the 1960's the U.S. Government proved they could develop new technologies and revolutionize practical science on an impressive scale. President John F. Kennedy had a daring vision, wasn't afraid to think big and decisively put his bold ideas into action. The race to the moon was launched and NASA became a hot zone for the World's most brilliant researchers and some of America's brightest minds. The result was very impressive to say the least; numerous U.S. flags upon the moon and revolutionary advances in science and technology.

Why not boldly revolutionize medicine? That can begin by turning the conversation away from insurance regulation reform and redirecting the conversation towards scientific domination. If the U.S. government were to create a medical version of NASA and assemble a concentration of the World's most brilliant research scientists under one roof; they could wipe out diseases by finding cures and developing vaccines on a massive scale that the World has never seen before. Eventually the over riding health care concerns will be how many hospitals to close and how to retrain doctors and other health care professionals for exciting new careers in other fields.

Reforming illness into health is attainable. The race to the moon began in 1960 and concluded in 1969. What is stopping the U.S. government from freeing the World of cancer in 9 years? Thinking small.
